Introduction

Each year, we publish an impact report to document what we built, what we learned, and who we built it with. It’s part accountability, part memory-keeping. A way to mark the work that often happens behind the scenes—and the people who made it possible.

This year’s report looks a little different.

It’s creative, yes. But more than that, it’s honest. It reflects a year of experimentation, growth, uncertainty, and momentum. It captures the moments that mattered: the programs that reached further than we expected, the community that showed up again and again, and the quiet wins that don’t always fit neatly into a spreadsheet. The report was co-written by Callie and me, and designed by Rebecca, each bringing care, clarity, and intention to how this story is told.

Inside, you’ll see:

• How Internet Street Smarts reached new communities—in living rooms, classrooms, and community spaces
• The launch of ISS microgrants, with applications from around the world
• What it looked like to hit our 2025 goals earlier than planned
• The people, partnerships, and practices that shaped our work this year

This report is also a record for the future. Something we’ll look back on years from now to remember how this chapter felt, what we were trying to protect, what we were brave enough to build, and how much collective care it took to do it.

Cyber Collective exists to build a culture where digital safety is an act of care—for ourselves and for each other. Every year adds a new chapter to that story, and this one belongs to all of you who showed up alongside us.

To our team, fellows, volunteers, collaborators, board members, partners, and funders: thank you. This work is only possible because of you.

As we look ahead to 2026, we’re focused on scaling what works while staying grounded in our values. We’re building digital resilience infrastructure for the people, starting in NYC and expanding through trusted community partnerships. With 50,000 learners already pledged through existing collaborations, the next chapter is about going further—together.

If you’re interested in supporting what comes next, here are a few ways to be involved:
• Partner or fund the work as we build out our 2026 infrastructure
• Bring Internet Street Smarts to your school, organization, or community
Become a facilitator and help lead workshops where you live
• Support youth leadership by connecting us with young people who should be at the table
Show up to our in-person events, workshops, and gatherings

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for being part of this community.
